6/10
Low budget but fairly compelling
6 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
An interesting mix of character drama and gangster thriller, set in modern day Hong Kong and taking a look at 1990s history and race relations in the process. It's a slow-paced and often low budget affair, a lot of it taking place in an apartment between two men, but I found it quite watchable. Things build carefully and realistically throughout and there are bursts of violence, as well as a quite gripping climax, to keep the suspense bubbling away. Old-timers Tai Bo and Chin Siu Ho have small roles.
