Everything is doing and going well for that of Bruno Richard Hauptmann and his wife Anna who delivers only child Manfred and living the American dream from Germany that the real Hauptmann entered illegally.

But that when the 14-month old son of aviation legend Charles Lindberg and taken from his room via ladder and murdered. As witnesses say that they saw a man with a German accent and calling himself John.

And how that the ransom money was found in Hauptmann's garage. He insisting he was holding money for a friend there originally not knowing that his friend ripped him and his friends off in a bag that he tried to hide and keep to himself.

The movie sounds like he was innocent and scapegoated due to the police facing a lot of pressure and lots of stress to solve and send possibly an innocent man to the electric chair.

Only God knows what happened as really feel bad for Anna and his son. She never remarried and tried to defend her late husband's name and clear him until she died in 1994 believing he was innocent.
