7/10
Good but not brilliant gangster flick.

Warning: Spoilers
This film is somewhat disjointed as others have said but it but it's still an enjoyable action movie, even though I'd have enjoyed it more with more plot, suspense and explanation and less fighting. I, unlike some other reviewers, think the contrast between the background music and the accompanying events depicted in screen only adds to the overall enjoyability though due to the comic element of light relief it provides (for example when 'Run, rabbit' plays in the background). It would be interesting to know if Jack Comer really did keep prostitutes handcuffed to beds in his brothels as I doubt sex slavery exists in quite such a pure form in the U. K today and may be dramatic licence in the film, rather than a faithful depiction of the time (though it does exist today in Delhi, where women are famously kept in cages).
