Not the same type of thriller as before, more of a race against time after the true person behind Lorenz is unmasked. Mia's brain has been purposely infected with an aggressive form of. Jakob Cruetzfeld disease in order to erase past memories of Dr Lorenz's Homo Deus project. The race to cure her comprises the main theme of season two, so it is a totally different type of suspense, still good, just different. Does not look like they left space or reason for a third season unless they come up with an entirely new plot. I don't perceive that there will be a big outpouring of requests for season three given the ending.
