. . . ONE FOR THE BOOK is named "Sally." When I was in concert band, they had a sax named Sally. Someone positioned her right behind me, perhaps because of our respective instruments. At any rate, this Sally had a habit of kicking any guy sitting in front of her in the back until he reached behind and wrestled off one or both of her shoes. Then, if a teacher (or band conductor) caught Sally's dupe in the act, guess who got sent to the principal's office? The Sally in ONE FOR THE BOOK seems just as flighty, ditzy, vacuous and incendiary as the one from Real Life (who ended up on a sour note).
