This true, important story deserved a much better retelling. The overlong film focuses mostly on politics and not enough on the characters and how they got there and what they were going through.
Also wasted is the incredible cast with most given nothing significant to do! Strangely, TV hack and 70s disaster regular Lee Grant is in the movie, wearing the same wig she.wore in Airport 77 and The Swarm. Her very presence gives this film a movie of the week feel.
