Early on in 'the boss of it all' it's stated that "this film won't be worth a moment's reflection, it's a comedy and harmless as such. No preaching or swaying opinion. Just a cozy time. So why not poke fun at artsy-fartsy culture?", and that turns out true. This is a comedy movie that I don't think I understand, it's a comedy movie I don't think I'm able to understand as a result of my lack of exposure to Danish culture.
I didn't find it funny, I found the quiks annoying and the characters too, but according to some of my Danish family it's really reflective of Danish office culture. I'm sure I'll enjoy it more once I'm more acquainted with Danish culture, for now though it's a boring experience that provoked nothing in me. But that may be the point.
