She suggests the cause might be syphilis. As an ex medic, producer Joe Mercurio must not have read the script if he allowed this appalling error. Even lay folk know that cataracts, migraine, stroke and many more problems may affect eyesight and no consultant would throw away a diagnosis in such circumstances.
