Surprisingly entertaining and interesting film. James Purefoy is a great choice for the role of Solomon Kane, he really resembles the character envisioned by Robert E. Howard. The film is violent and brutal, as is the comic, and that is just another detail that enhances the quality of the film. The film is not without its flaws, but it is interesting and fun, the cast is good, the film is well directed and the effects are solid. A fun and interesting film adaptation of a character conceived by Robert E. Howard.
