For starters - I can't believe that this animated TV show of one-dimensional, Afro-American, cookie-cutter characters actually lasted for 8 seasons.
"Fat Albert" is a show that clearly thinks it's cool & hip, but, believe me, it's not.
When it comes to delivering its humor - "Fat Albert" scrapes the absolute bottom of the barrel for laughs where you know what the characters are going to say even before they say it.
This is the type of lame comedy from yesteryear that desperately needs its canned laughter, 'cause, otherwise, the audience wouldn't know when to laugh.
