Insulting to actual special forces soldiers
27 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
How I managed to watch the first film eludes me, what made me watch the second one was sheer stupidity and I blame that decision on lockdown boredom. Quite frankly these films insult the special forces through their use of incorrect dialog, incorrect use of weapons for covert missions, incorrect understanding of warfare, tactics and leadership and this is coming from someone who has no real world experience of the special forces, just some common sense from reading books and watching "good" films on the subject! Not to mention the long dull rantings of the stereotypical bad guy and his brainwashed stooge. I mean he was wearing a pair of his mum's fishnets on his face! And who leaves a suitcase bomb with lethal sarin after a battle without securing it! For safety you'd take that with you and also so you'd have intel to recognise the bomb maker's signature at another time? You know, to keep the world safe? At one point the french soldier is popping off headshot after headshot rambo style without even looking down the scope! He should be in the Olympics! And how one soldier doesn't guard the entrance of the enemy tent whilst his team mates complete part of the mission? What happens...Yes you'll get captured you dumb twits! I will not be watching the third film. The director, producers and writers should have stayed in bed. Just terrible terrible terrible. The only saving grace was the russian sniper she was fairly attractive.
