This show is a bit catch as catch can.
When the story is about Drax, Gamora or Groot, the show has decent narrative flow.
When Quill (or his father) is the primary focus... things devolve quickly. I don't know if Will Friedle is improvising the majority of his lines, or the writers just are incapable. So much of the dialogue from Quill sounds like a six year old with ADD wrote it.
I understand shows like this one are written with the child demographic in mind, but maybe the kids out here deserve a bit more credit than this series' depiction of Peter Quill gives them.
