An interesting glimpse into the lives of stressed-out Russians. Oleg and Katya were so human and so tender., a result of great acting that felt authentic. But what happened in the end? Oleg kept sabotaging his relationship with Katya because of his alcoholism. Then he lost his job as an EMT because he dared to challenge new protocol designed to increase profits, but that harmed patients. At the end of the movie, Oleg and Katya are back together and Oleg is back at work. No mention EVER of his alcoholism and no explanation of how the couple were able to reconcile. Oleg is still as hopeless as ever. Maybe that is the point of the story: He is an alcoholic. It will never work. They love each other terribly and maybe for now they will be okay.
