Hillary (2020)
1/10
Self-serving propaganda
8 April 2020
This is a well-timed piece of propaganda that imposes a starry-eyed, self-serving spin about the life of Hillary Rodham Clinton. There are shots of Hill being interviewed behind-the-scenes from her 2016 U.S. presidential campaign as her makeup and hair is done, which she expresses she resents because a man doesn't have to go through that. Richard Nixon, who appeared as a sweating ghost next to John Kennedy's tanned, striking figure in their infamous TV debate, might disagree.

I got a month-long trial to Hulu, (which I happily cancelled early), so I could see what nonsense this film spouted. Avid members of team Hillary will love this film, even perhaps the part where Bill cries and explains he turned to Monica's sexual favors because he needed to relieve his awful job stress for ten minutes at a time. I guess that justifies why Hillary, (to whom Bill took marriage vows he denigrated repeatedly), would eventually stand-by-her-man and treat like trash the young woman her beloved husband used, spit out, and lied about under oath.

Hillary, (who, according to disclosures made $2,935,000 from 2013 to 2015 by giving just 12 speeches to Wall Street banks, private equity firms, and other financial corporations), self-righteously lashes out with anti-Bernie rhetoric: "Honestly, Bernie just drove me crazy. He was in Congress for years. He had one senator support him (in the 2016 primary). Nobody likes him. Nobody wants to work with him. He got nothing done. He was a career politician. He did not work until he was like 41, and then he got elected to something. It was all just baloney and I feel so bad that people got sucked into it."

Bernie was active in the civil rights movement as a student for the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE) and the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC). Under his chairmanship, CORE merged with SNCC. In 1962, at age 21, he went to a rally to protest the segregated campus housing policy. At the protest, Bernie said, "We feel it is an intolerable situation when black and white students of the university cannot live together in university-owned apartments". After weeks of sit-ins and further protests, the University of Chicago ended racial segregation in private university housing.

After graduating from college, Sanders worked as a Head Start teacher, psychiatric aide, and carpenter. What Bernie didn't do, (thankfully), is become a lawyer straight out of the gate, the type who would become a hypocrite and establishment sellout.

Bernie began his electoral political career in 1971 at age 30. He was anti-war. He ran for governor of Vermont in 1972.

Bernie, (an honest person who doesn't use political campaign funds from a super PAC), works tirelessly long hours for the betterment of all; his unwavering devotion, ideas, and vision continue to make an impact and are glaringly relevant in this unprecidented time of the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.

In 2016, Joe Biden said, "If Bernie Sanders never said he was a Democratic Socialist, based on what he was saying, people wouldn't be calling him a Democratic Socialist. That's how he categorizes himself in sort of European terms, like the Democratic Socialist parties in Europe... Bernie is speaking to a yearning that is deep and real and he has credibility on it and that is the absolute concentration of wealth in a small group of people with the middle class now being able to be shown being left out. There used to be a basic bargain: if you contributed to the profitability of an enterprise, you got to share in the profit. That's been broken. Productivity is up; wages are stagnant."

The reporter Biden was speaking with said, "But Hillary's talking about that as well..."

Biden responded, "Well, it's relatively new for Hillary to talk about that. Hillary's focus has been on other things up to now, and that's been Bernie's... ah... NO ONE questions Bernie's authenticity on those issues."

The spin and deceit widely fed to the public propel ego and greed driven politicans into office. People get sucked into the Clinton's lies buoyed by such inauthentic, misleading, propaganda-pieces as "Hillary."
