What do you get when you mix up diverse subjects such as Islamic extremists terrorists, shadowy government agencies, raging wildfires, the media and well... The Devil, ad in a healthy dose of practical gore and a few jumpscares? Apparently this incredibly original and highly entertaining gem of an indie horror feature.
I was expecting pure schlock after watching the trailer and very nearly dropped it from my watchlist, but I'm so glad I finally took it on, dispite my reservations.
The film starts out incredibly disjointed but after a while the narrative threads starts to come together and the storyline becomes clear. It obviously a very low budget picture with a limited number of sets, but the film overcomes these obstacles thanks to a great script, good to great acting, competent directing and first and foremost originality.
Hope you enjoy it.
