A young nurses' aid in an old folks' home goes out of an evening. She drinks, drugs, and dials all while driving home, or should I say, all while slamming her car into a pedestrian. He goes slamming through her windshield and she doesn't even stop the car. She just keeps right on going all the way home! With him stuck through, blood flying, passersby getting the occasional eyeshot. Like I said, riveting. At one point in the poor guy's grueling night she goes out to her garage, where she has parked her car and passenger, whereupon she finds him awake. He begs her for help. AND SHE SAYS, "It's not my fault, you should have been watching where you were going."(!)This is a mantra she oft repeats, that it's not her fault. She acts like she can either be at fault or get him help, but not both. Lord how many people just like that have I encountered in my 63 years! Anyway, this flick is a great, engrossing ride.
