Put aside any expectations about this play

Warning: Spoilers
Let this play surprise you. My spoiler alert is more about the set than then actual content of the play.

This play was deliciously weird in that the set was a workable plywood box, chairs one might find in a high school cafeteria and mics on stands. That's it. It was one of those plays where the acting performances HAD to be good to pull it off and this cast does not disappoint. I fell absolutely in love with McAvoy's Cyrano. Intense emotion, vulnerability, quick witted, funny. So good.

Unfortunately there were some technical glitches in the recording which did affect my enjoyment of the play, but free passes were given for an encore presentation and I will definitely be going again. Go with an open mind and let go if any preconceived expectations of how this play should look, let the actors work their magic and you'll have a good time.
