Today is the day the world lost the great Kirk Douglas one of the most iconic actors in cinema, however id like to think he had a long and fruitful life, I mean 103 years old, wow im sure we all wish we could live that long. In order to honor this great man I started watching some of his movies, but my personal favorite movie of his has to be this comedy, that is honestly an underrated diamond. In a time of just dumpster fire comedies, this movie feels so intelligently hilarious, almost every joke hits, in fact just watching these characters just talk will leave you gasping for air due to constant laughter. The plot is very simple, Kirk plays a rich man who has bloodsucking relatives, that only want his fortune for themselves when he dies, but their inheritance becomes endangered by the prescenece of Kirks sizzling hot nurse, they realize she will be given everything. As micheal says " Id give her all my money. Micheal J fox plays the straight man in this movie, and is the only rational relative, atleast until his uncle offers him all of his money, this causes micheal to also give into the temptation of greed. Kirk douglas plays a delightfully devious mastermind, who kind of manipulates his relatives and micheal just for his own entertainment but also because he secretly longs for someone to truly love him, not just his money. The cast is just perfect, kirk douglas, micheal j fox, phil Hartman and the rest of the relatives are all hilarious. Olivia d Abo is one of the hottest British women ive ever seen and this movie makes sure you see a lot of her, but surprisingly even her character is given some depth. Surprisingly the greedy relatives arent used as much as they could have been, but besides that this movies is just a comedy gold mine. Beside jokes, there are some legitmate dramatic moments and deep themes about greed. " They Have It I Want it I now have it I want more Greed is the real pollution of this world."

This is not the best movie ive ever seen, but it most certainly is the funniest movie ive ever seen, and its not that overly ridiculous, its pretty grounded. The dialogue and Humor are just gold, the slapstick literally had me bursting my chest from laughter, theres this fight scene near the end of the movie that is just incredible to watch, phil Hartman is a complete maniac in this movie, and its glorious. This is truly one of the greatest comedies ever made and might make you greedy for some more comedies just like it.
