Daniel Calvin (Laurence Fishburne) is morbidly depressed as they announce the demolishing of the Santiago Prison where he served as warden. We have a sense where this is going, but the film is about how we got there as we witness the sins of the Warden's past and his lust for one woman.
It was a decent prison drama that takes more outside the prison than inside. Since we know the end, the story lacks twists. Laurence Fishburne did a good job, but I didn't find the film overly grabbing with a message other than the one they repeat.
Guide: Sex. No F-word or nudity.
