Frightful let-down
25 November 2019
Finally get to watch this after all these years, having loved the early collaborations between Losey and Pinter, The Servant and Accident, only to be so disappointed. It looks great but very little happens and although Alan Bates and Julie Christie are great everyone else seems as bored as Losey must have been with the lame script from Pinter and the mind numbing nature of this dull film. I guess we are supposed to be intrigued by all the 'fascinating' (NOT) English upper class depictions. Frightful let-down.
