I will be honest and say I was unable to finish this film. The decision was made to use modern music for a story set in the early 20th century. Despite seeing wonderful actresses in period costumes, and despite some snappy dialogue, the modern music (actual songs that people sang, in the background) completely negated what was happening on screen. I could not enjoy what might have actually been very enjoyable.
I just can't imagine why the producers thought a modern soundtrack would be the right way to go. I think it was counterproductive and distracting.
Also, I am wondering why the title wasn't IRON-JAWED ANGELS. It's a glaring grammatical error.
