Interesting main plot, but the wife's plot is pathetic.

I thought I was going to watch a TV show about aliens. And half of it was about it, however the wife's subplot was annoying. Were the authors trying to.be PC? Probably. I would love to see an USA show without any PC matters. All I wanted was to watch an ALIEN series. Is that much to ask? I'm on the second episode and I don't know if I should keep going watching this. I want Aliens, no PC stuff.
