Or the narcissistic need for it. And if he was less calculative and more manic.. Then this could definitely be his artsy metaphorical biopic. But JP isn't nearly as cool as Cassel's character.
A very nice film that has it's own ways of portraying : existentialism, angst, mania, boredom, rage and depression formed in this weird world we live in. Emotions that -if you're actually living and not being a robot- you should all go through in life. Numerous times.
Cassel's character is hilarious to me! His remarks and gestures are very enjoyable to watch.
