Denis Villeneuve's Polytechnique is a plain sailing yet, formidably assembled (re)debut. It's fascinating to witness how the currently acclaimed mastermind (re)started his full-lengthed movie career with an indie that tackles school shootings and, astonishingly enough, the common ignorance towards feminism. Villeneuve's-nearly homestyled-like-black and white, flashback is-in excess-a promisingly persuading drama/thriller for those planning on careering in the film industry. (Verdict: C+)
