Warning: Spoilers
This movie was not easy for everyone to understand. If you have never suffered from PTSD then you might not get it, but I have and I understood it completely. This is an eye opener for others because two things happened that I noticed: 1. He had serious PTSD. When things happened that he associated with his attack (the Nazi tattoo) he ran feverishly to get away from the situation. Not everyone reacts this way. 2. His way of interacting with others was through fantasy and he really lived there way too much. But, he found it much easier to live in his fantasy world than the real one. I think this film would be a great way to introduce others to the effects of PTSD. I feel this it would be a good to help Veterans like me to identify what is happening in their lives. I love the way he intertwined live action with the doll action. Very creative. People go out and watch this movie. Support this visionary and get his message out to everyone. That the effects of PTSD can and does happen to a wide range of people under a variety of circumstances. Not just military people. Although everyone reacts in different ways to PTSD try to understand that these are still people who need help and this movie is one way to help them realize that.
