This TV movie is a pilot for the serial of the same name that followed in 2017. That suggests the pilot was successful, but it was not to me.
A man with special powers, or rather absence of most senses, does detective work, but has severe limitations. He lives with a smoking sidekick and a little girl, but we do not know why. Like the true nature of his ability, other than a perfunctory explanation at the very end, we do not get any explanations. The little girl is placed in danger and the big finale happens.
The premise is far-fetched and, as mentioned, basically unexplained. Like all movie girls the little girl speaks big words and shows mature and deep emotions, while those around her live in a universe apart from the norms of society and no one asks a questions.
Also, disappointing is that other than the cute nurse with the fine legs and kindness of heart to make her doctor happy we do not have any sexy eye candies or pretty girl. Even Usuda-chan has cut her hair short to portray a tired and given-up single mother (she was hot in Hotaru... but now no more) and there are half a dozen kindergarten teachers and none of them show any skin or have long hair. No wonder they are all single and wishing for men and husbands without luck. Instead of praying and moaning how about you dress to attract or show some body or grow your hair?
