Thumbtanic (2000)
4/10
Weak parody of a weak film
21 April 2016
Warning: Spoilers
"Thumbtanic" is an American 26-minute short film from over 15 years ago that came out 3 years after James Cameron's "Titanic", one of the most overrated films of all time in my opinion. And as I am not the greatest fan of these Steve Oedekerk thumb films either, you should not be surprised that I think this one was not a good watch. Luckily it does not even run for half an hour, but it still feels too long. Other than that, you get what you could expect, the "King of the World" scene, the parody of the famous "My Heart Will Go On" etc. Generally speaking, if you like Oedekerk's approach to comedy, you will probably end up liking this one too. I personally do not see it as too artistic or creative. Thumbs down.
