Warning: Spoilers
"Tron: The Next Day" is a 10-minute science-fiction film from almost 5 years ago and is obviously based on the cult classic film from the early 1980s. Tron has been quite in recently again as they not only made this short film, but there has also been a full feature movie and at least one television series. The writer and director is Kurt Mattila, who made several car commercials and also worked as an editor on "Iron Man". However, I must say, not having seen the Tron feature films, I was not too impressed by this little film and cannot really see its popularity. Not even Jeff Bridges could save it, but then again we only hear his voice. I guess people who really love science fiction may enjoy it, but I did not see much value in here apart from the special effects area. Certainly not in terms of drama and in my opinion, apart from comedies maybe, every film needs good elaboration in that issue. I missed it here. Not recommended.
