''Now I know why Stephen Fry f**ked off!''
29 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Two years after the last stage show, Richie and Eddie were back for a second show, filmed live at Apollo Theatre in Oxford.

With The Royal Family due to parade through Hammersmith, Richie and Eddie are keen to make a good impression and set about decorating the flat with bunting and other such paraphernalia. Eddie has even set up a firework display ( covered completely in Semtex ) in Her Maj's honour. Richie's true intentions however are to get inside the Queen's knickers. After detonating the fireworks, as well as performing a whole other list of felonies, Richie and Eddie are sent to prison for 350 years.

Whilst in jail, Eddie and Richie try to think of ways to escape, as well as trying to avoid the attentions of Mr. Big and Geoffrey the psychopathic penis remover. After a spate of events, the two manage to escape back to their flat in time for the arrival of Her Majesty. Unfortunately ( and you knew this was going to happen didn't you? ), the two detonate more explosives upon her arrival, thinking the police have come to bust them, killing not only the Queen but themselves too.

'The Big No. 2 Tour' was miles funnier than its predecessor. The prison scene was a neat and different idea and opened up a whole new set of doors ( even if it was cell doors ) for Rik and Ade. The Stephen Fry reference was a dig at when Fry walked out on a stage production of 'Cell Mates' ( which he was to star in alongside Mayall ) in a fit of depression. The monarchy, unsurprisingly, got a fair amount of bashing from Rik and Ade. One very funny moment had Eddie being forced to kneel or stand to attention whenever he mentions the Queen, to which he remarks to the audience: ''No wonder she's so f**king unpopular!''.

Ade Edmondson also provides the voice of a foul-mouthed parrot ( in-keeping entirely with the myth that parrots swear ) who Richie is minding for the local vicar.

There never was a fourth television series of 'Bottom' ( though allegedly one was planned ) but fans needn't have worried as in 1997, Rik and Ade were on tour yet again with 'Bottom Live 3 - Hooligan's Island' and later gave us their feature film 'Guest House Paradiso'.

Funniest bit? Eddie holding the parrot at gunpoint whilst reciting Clint Eastwood's famous 'How many shots did I fire?' speech from 'Dirty Harry'. ''You fired six you fat bastard!'' bellows the parrot at Eddie. 'Correct!'' says Eddie and after shooting the parrot six times he boasts: ''but I f**king reloaded!''.
