Addie Singer (Emma Roberts) is facing the constant embarrassment of life with her friends boy crazy Geena Fabiano, sincere Zack Carter-Schwartz, her dog Nancy and her guitar. The show starts at 7th grade in Rocky Road Middle School. She has a crush on Jake Behari and dates Randy Klein. She is harassed by nemesis mean girls Maris and Cranberry. The friends hang out at a juice bar where her older brother Ben starts working at. The show ends after 3 years as the friends leave 8th grade.

Each episode starts with the ending as Addie is in some kind of wacky trouble and she recounts how she got there. The friends are great. The dream boy is a bit of a dud but it's cool that the foursome is ethnically diverse.
