It's really a shame, when you consider the talent at work here. Reese and Sofia have proved that they can do things, but are very much reduced here. Not that they were not having fun shooting the movie (there's bloopers/outtakes during the credits), but that doesn't mean it all makes sense or is funny for that matter.
The contrast between Sofias characters and Reeses character is big, but the clichés they have to fight off are even bigger. If you don't mind them and are just glad to watch something with almost no edge to it, than you can have some fun with it. But even the jokes misfire most of the time, being too simple mostly. How something like that manages to be offensive while trying to be as inoffensive as possible is almost a miracle though ....
