Well made sequence at the start of this - so we've got the makings of a psycho.

Roll forward 25 years, and we've got a moral dilemma involving sex and money, where a slimeball entrepreneur draws the "wholesome" heroine into a virtual whorehouse. So it raises the issue of the stupid debt ordinary people have to take on to live any kind of decent life.

Was hoping this combination would produce something good, but it's really just two old ideas - straight slasher + celeb/porn reality.

After about 30 mins the story starts counting down the numbers. The entrepreneur becomes passive, and the final conflict includes the heroine miraculously overpowering the one-note all-powerful psycho.

Basically this was a good pitch hijacked by genre - could have been much more. If they added satire on sex-as-commodity and let the entrepreneur go beast alongside the psycho, it might have been a good horror.

There was good humour and irony in the reactions of on-line viewers, but overall the values are perverse (selling sex is free market - no limits, dude!) Also the hero is almost irrelevant to the plot: could have been folded into the computer Einstein guy - bad writing. Without the nudity and gore it's just a Scooby Doo thriller for dull Reaganites.

Beautiful looking cast, and very well shot. Music OK.

Watch it and forget it.
