I heard a lady say this when we were exiting the movie theater. I don't agree with it but she may be right just a bit.
This won't be a long review but I will give out a few of my thoughts about it.
I think it will have/has a commercial success due to Vinnie Jones on the poster. A very absurd and entertaining movie. For us, Eastern European people it gave a lot of joy because we can relate to those Russian obscene phrases. Also the architecture was so familiar because most of the buildings haven't been repaired or changed since the collapsing of the Soviet Union.
This isn't a movie to be taken seriously. Most of the thrilling parts were predictable but still entertaining. It tends to be like it that nowadays it is hard to surprise the audience with something original. So keeping that in mind it is watchable and still fun.
I heard it is compared to Hangover. There is a fair resemblance. Though they are completely different movies.
In conclusion I recommend to see this one for the laughs and mindless fight scenes. Don't go If you are not into absurdity.
