For the purposes of this review Farcry 1 was re-installed just to check 3D capability. Absolutely perfect 3D. That doesn't mean the game looks great because as one can imagine the game is now quite long in the tooth so the graphics are rather dated. All that aside this game is really a blast, many hours of gameplay with quite a nice degree of variation between locations. There are a couple of problems in that you cannot save a game anywhere. Its the old 'Get past a certain point and wait for an automatic save' type system which can certainly put a person off especially at the end where you are on a ship that is sinking. getting past that point was very hard but definitely doable. This game is definitely worth playing even though it is quite old now. The dated graphics do not take away from the experience enough to warrant playing something else.
