Lets be Honest, Bernie is not that all good!

Bernie – CATCH IT (B) The film is based on a 1996 murder of 81-year-old millionaire Marjorie Nugent in Carthage, Texas by her 39-year-old, employed gay companion, Bernhardt "Bernie" Tiede. Tiede proved so highly regarded in Carthage that, in spite of having confessed to the police, the District Attorney was eventually forced to request a rare prosecutorial change of venue in order to secure a fair trial. Bernie is a black comedy featuring immensely talented Jack Black, Shirley MacLaine and Matthew McConaughey. The movie is more like documented events of Bernie's life and features comments and views of town's people surrounding Bernie and Mrs. Nugent. This gives it a very natural look to the movie and even in the mist of tragedy the movie makes you laugh. Jack Black is flawless as Bernie, he lived the character you won't even notice that it's Jack Black. From accent to his walking style everything is changed into Bernie. Shirley MacLaine is great though she doesn't get much scope but her performance is incredible as annoying millionaire. Matthew McConaughey is superb, every time he came on screen and delivers those lines in thick Southern accent. You just fall for him more and more, he has this charm and natural southern charisma cannot be ignored. On the whole, Bernie is an entertaining true life tragedy which makes you laugh and question your surroundings. Even though the movie projects Bernie as the God's most loving person I think it intentionally never mentioned that he might be greedy since he was enjoying all those luxuries and according to Wiki was also involved in lots of illicit acts which the movie never mentioned. Since its main propaganda was to present Bernie as the nicest person victim of wrong conviction.
