Father of the Pride (2004–2005)

Forced, unfunny and predictable- sadly a failure
23 January 2011
I really wanted to like Father of the Pride, as it did have an interesting premise. Sadly, the show doesn't live up that premise, in fact sorry but I found this show painful to watch. I had mixed feelings on the animation, the colours were alright, same with the backgrounds, but the character designs were often blocky. I wasn't that receptive to the music either, it was decent enough I suppose but it was forgettable too sadly. The real disappointments though were in the writing, humour and stories. The writing was very unfunny and forced, while most of the jokes fell flat. The stories were repetitive and predictable and while the characters had their moments they are in general badly written and unlikeable. The voice acting is okay at best, some of it is expressive but some doesn't fit with the characters. It also doesn't help that the lip movements range from just adequate to disastrous. All, had potential, but sorry it wasn't my cup of tea. 1/10 Bethany Cox
