Even though my friends said this was one worthless piece of movie, I wanted to see it for myself as I am a huge fan of Ali Larter who is a part of the TV show HEROES. I thought I would like this because of her. I am not a fan of Beyonce. I just don't like her music.
The plot is Derek (Idris Elba) is very successful asset manager who has received a promotion recently and is very happy with his career and family. But all those things are put into jeopardy when Lisa (Ali Larter), a very hot temp catches his eye in the office.
This is a very basic stalker film. Lisa tries everything to get Derek to fall for her, but he doesn't budge from his high moral grounds and he apparently loves his bitch of a wife. Seriously, his wife Sharon (Beyonce Knowles) is a vapid, because without any proof of him cheating on her, she throws him out of his own home. Lisa does something which makes everybody suspect Derek.
I hated this movie mainly for one thing, its very predictable and boring. Sharon transforming from a sweet housewife to a crazy person who will do anything to save her marriage is just cliché. Beyonce cannot act, period. Lisa didn't have a backstory as to why she is stalking Derek of all people and this wasn't a racist film according to me as many people here seem to think. I mildly liked the fight at the ending, but it dragged on and this is a Beyonce production, so you should know by now who will win that fight. I don't think even fans of Beyonce will like it as its so shallow and has no heart. Ali Larter could have done so well with a better script. She's a very fine actress when the script is right for her. I am very sad that I didn't take my friends advice. Only for Ali Larter.
