And the legacy was born...

Warning: Spoilers
Friday the 13th may have terrible dialog, mediocre actors, and a story line that has been mimicked time and time again, but it has one thing going for it: it is so damn entertaining. Anyone who's familiar with the character of Jason Vorhees but not the specifics is in for a surprise for this one. Although the whole bunch of characters are pretty one dimensional, there are some scenes that are pretty stand out. One particularly stands out, because it is the first "modern" encounter with the killer. The innocent, naive teenage girl getting a ride to the oh-so famous Camp Crystal Lake. I found it particularly terrifying when I first saw it because it's a large amount of terror- during the daytime. Many movies always stick to night time horror, but Friday the 13th is terrifying whenever it wants. It's also particularly funny to see a young Kevin Bacon. Yes, we may have seen and heard the movies/stories of camp counselors getting knocked off, but Friday the 13th made a name for itself. I must give a generous amount of props to that music and other noises, and it deservingly is cemented in pop culture(cheecheecheeahhahhahh.) This is a very entertaining movie, and although it may not be Grade A, it sure as hell can be as entertaining as one(at the worst a Grade C.)
