I really wanted to like this film, but new something had to be wrong by the fact that this movie had virtually no theatrical release and a beyond 5 star director filmed it. The cast is good though sadly Tommy Lee is way too old for the Dave Robicheaux character. There are also some beautiful New Orleans scenes. The film features a treasure trove of great supporting actors. The film's mystery just for some reasons, isn't very compelling. However, I do appreciate the effort that was made in this clearly outside of Hollywood production. It was also great to see John Sayles in a marvelous cameo, quite like his performance in Joe Dante's Howling.
