I have been eagerly anticipating the premiere of Leverage for the past month and a half....TNT did a great job of building the hype.
Then Dec. 7 came...and I was l left a bit underwhelmed.
I watched the repeat of the premiere and the new show on the 9th. Still a bit underwhelmed. And I watched the repeats of BOTH shows again over the weekend. Still underwhelmed.
I love the characters, but it's the story lines that are not grabbing me. Maybe I'm waiting for more of the backstories to unfold; maybe I'm waiting for tighter plots. But right now, Leverage is going to have to step up its game to keep me engaged for the next 11 or so episodes.
Who knows...the same thing happened to me when In Plain Sight (on USA) debuted. I wasn't digging the first few shows, stopped watching, tuned in toward the end of the season, and got hooked. Leverage may require the same treatment from me.
