a boy a girl and love

Great publicity, even greater hype but unfortunately no content, that's what the film is all about.I am sorry to spill the beans for all you Aamir Khan fans out there but the film is a disappointment. However there are always few positives to every film and this film can brag of some sharp and sleek cinematography. Manoj Lobo, cinematographer, has done a great job with the camera to give the film a very fresh and youthful look. Even though the film will not fail to attract the youngsters, one must not blindly discard the striking similarity with CHALTE CHALTE, a Film directed by Aziz Mirza which includes a narrative,a hero and an airport,no prizes for getting the connect here]. It looks like Aamir khan is trying desperately hard to compete with SRK.This is Aamir Khan's response to Om Shanti Om, a film that worked on the fundamental rule of challenging sensibilities. After making a Taare Zamin Par, which was good, this film just proves that the saying ", One swallow does not make a summer" is still relevant in the Bollywood industry. Music is satisfactory, very unlike A.R.Rahman. Art direction is good. Imran Khan{better known as Uncle Aamir's nephew] is mediocre, but then again so is the industry.Genelia D'Souza has her moments especially with her brother, who is one well sketched out character in the film. Overall film does fail to live up to it's promise. It looks like commercial film-making is the sensible Aamir khan's new fetish. But don't take this review too seriously, you will hear people chanting praises after the credits roll. So they got what they deserve.
