Review of Laser Moon

Laser Moon (1993)
1/10
boring, predictable, and yet somehow confusing, but still more boring

There' actually strong dialog in this film; but the director, clearly frustrated with an incredibly low budget, has waffled between making a mystery or an intense, dramatic character study. The film can't be both, so it ends up neither.

what we are left with is one long sequence of dialog after another; and while I've admitted some of it is quite strong - this when it's all character study - the 'mystery movie' scenes are incredibly badly handled, and the dialog in these scenes is just wretched. And they talk, and they talk, and they talk; and when they're supposed to do something physical - they talk some more.

Harrison Le Duke is good in the role of weary, morally confused protagonist, but the rest of the acting just stinks. The rest of the film (camera, editing, lighting, sound) - all sub-professional.

Stay away.
