"THE ZERO YEARS" is a chronology of the end of civilization
25 March 2006
In The zero years the geography of this "asylum" that may once have offered some security to its inmates, is today totally controlled by the State. Big Brother watches and imposes his rules. The four women who are forced to live together offer their sexual services, guided by Kafkaesque powers.

The camera almost point-blank on their faces creates a claustrophobic ambiance and "staged" baroque atmosphere, which, however, does not repel, despite its harsh tones. This is due to an underlying, one might say purifying sarcasm, to the "black" humor with which the material is managed and that transforms the gloom into a remorseless underground music, to an image of unadulterated real life.
