I am an avid reader of all of Nelson Demille's works. But I have to say that this movie about his book Mayday was not accurate and missed a lot of important details that made the book so enthralling. For example, they totally left out that the people in comas on board woke up as 'zombies' due to lack of oxygen to the brain. That was a twist in the book that freaked me out and leaving it out I think totally disrupts a great read. I still love Demille but he should have more say in what the screenplay includes. I give the movie a 4 but the book a 10+!
Hopefully in the future when other great Demille books, like the sequel to Generals' Daughter, come to the big screen or TV they will be closer to the author's vision.
