POSSIBLE SPOILERS BEYOND HERE...........
For starters, those kids gave the term "undisciplined" an underrated meaning. They were down right barbaric! Where were the rules? When I was 12 and 13, I did not puke on the floor and just leave it there. When I was 8 and 9, I did not go to birthday parties and throw food, play hockey in the house and certainly did not break everything in sight! Also, dad leaves his job because the kids are not happy???? Uh.......HELLO! Life is full of changes and instead of making it unbearable for everyone around them, they needed to give it a chance and LEARN to adjust! The only thing that did make an ounce of sense was mom stopping her book tour to come home and help out. If discipline had been enforced, chaos would have ceased. Some of those kids were old enough to know better and the younger ones, they should have had rules enforced.
I saw this because I am a Steve Martin fan. Believe me, if not for him and Bonnie Hunt, I would have left the theatre before the movie was over. They and they ALONE were worth the money. NOTHING ELSE!
