If ever there was a case of "Great theme song, shame about the show," this is it.

The best thing about this show by a long, long way was its terrific retro title sequence, coupled with a theme song from none other than Suzanne Somers (another blonde with comic sidelines who's appeared in "Playboy") - funny and effortlessly entertaining, with the final touch being Jenny McCarthy dancing alongside a cartoon version of herself with the copyright info underneath ("Copyright 1997 by MTV Networks") in the best 70s fashion.

Unfortunately the REST of the programme blended MTV's unending and often erring faith in its own wonderfulness with our Jen's mistaken belief that grossness is always funny (Helga the German Waitress with the Very Long Armpit Hair, etc). Coupled with her subtlety-free acting style, the cancellation of both this and "Jenny" was a foregone conclusion. I doubt Jenny will be singing the title song for a future blond babe's sojourn into sketch shows.
