There's been better, and there's been worse. "Father of the Bride Part II" falls right in between when it comes to sequels of comedies. The plot was easily predictable and the movie didn't have as many Steve Martin funny moments as the original. There were some good moments that made me laugh though, most being scenes with Martin Short. It did seem like sort of a stretch, though that all of the sudden "Frank" was an interior designer as well as a wedding/baby shower coordinator. I guess they just needed a way to keep him in the movie longer. I was hoping for a lot more when I rented this. My advice: stick to the original.
