One of the cringiest moments in Sister Wives history occurred during season 6 of the TLC series. Robyn Brown delivered a shambles of a purity speech during a home church session in front of the Brown family. But instead of teaching a religious lesson, was it intended to seduce Kody Brown?
Robyn Brown’s purity speech was delivered with a specific intent
After marrying Kody Brown, Robyn began to lay the groundwork for a different type of relationship than he had with his other wives. She wanted a deeper connection with Kody and, perhaps, used this speech to seduce him and inflate his ego further by sharing her heartbreak over not saving her purity for him.

Apple TV+ is taking a shot at another sports-related comedy.
The streamer behind Ted Lasso has placed a series order for a show starring Owen Wilson as a former pro golfer who needs to get his life back in order. The Loki star will also be an executive producer of the untitled series, which comes from Apple Studios and creator Jason Keller (Ford v. Ferrari).
Wilson will play Pryce Cahill, whose golf career ended prematurely 20 years ago. After he gets fired from his job at a sporting goods store in Indiana and his wife leaves him, Pryce sees a troubled 17-year-old golf phenom as his way back.
The series seems to echo Ted Lasso in its sports-world setting and the possibility of a redemption arc for its main character. It will join a comedy roster at Apple TV+ that also includes Shrinking, Platonic, Loot and the upcoming Palm Royale.

It’s been a long wait for NBC’s Chicago Med to return with its 9th Season but with the premiere less than a week away (January 17), Deadline has some juicy nuggets to tease about the show’s return.
In the Season 8 finale, the medical drama said goodbye to Day 1-er Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) who handed in his resignation after finding himself more and more unsettled with the new changes implemented at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center following Jack Dayton’s purchase of the hospital. His main concern was Dayton’s insistence on using the O.R. 2.0. even after a machine error caused the death of a patient and could’ve also claimed Dayton’s life.
Dayton’s live surgery for investors cost him nearly all his money after showing the high-tech machine wasn’t ready for showtime. So to stay afloat financially, Dayton sells the hospital.

With three episodes of the Sister Wives tell-all still yet to air, Kody Brown should be very worried Meri Brown is going to spill family secrets. Episode one focused primarily on the breakdown of his marriage to Janelle Brown. Both parties aired their grievances during the hour where Kody backpedaled on many of his core beliefs, Robyn Brown defended him, and Janelle, Christine, and Meri Brown cleared the air. However, the tell-all will surely get spicy when Meri Brown has her say in upcoming episodes.

Barbie.Michael Cera plays Allan, a milquetoast companion to Ryan Gosling’s Ken, in the recent billion-dollar blockbuster Barbie (2023). The film’s narrator, Helen Mirren, introduces Allan by stating he is “unique” and noting “there are no multiples of him.” The same could be said of the actor behind the mild-mannered doll. Cera’s status as a sometimes endearing, sometimes discomforting, but always awkward screen presence has made him a fixture of commercial cinema ever since his famed turn as a sexually naïve cross-country star in Jason Reitman’s teenage pregnancy drama Juno (2007). Sixteen years later, Cera’s complexion remains the same. Except, his baby face no longer represents innocence and childish sentimentalism. His recent credits have skewed toward portrayals of frustrated men, revealing unforeseen dimensions of his previously exhibited acting chops.Cera’s rise to stardom in the mid-'00s coincided with the release of films such as Napoleon Dynamite...

But even with all those changes, season 18 was an absolute snoozefest. Sister Wives fans want the season-ending tell-all to dig deeper than ever before. Here are the questions they want answers to.

Kody Brown might be the villain of Sister Wives, but he’s not the only Brown family member who viewers believe has brought pain and drama to the plural group. For years, viewers have blamed Robyn Brown for some of Kody’s more inexplicable decisions. Several decisions negatively impacted the family unit that Robyn Brown is believed to have been or confirmed to have been behind.
Kody and Meri Brown’s divorce probably wasn’t Meri’s idea at all
In 2015, Meri Brown and Kody Brown officially divorced so Kody could legally marry Robyn Brown. Meri insisted that she volunteered to end her legal marriage for the sake of Robyn Brown’s children from a previous relationship. The legal marriage allowed Kody to legally adopt the three minor children.
While Meri, Kody, and Robyn have always insisted Meri volunteered to end her legal union, Sister Wives fans are convinced she’s lying.

Sometimes when you’re a director of television. it’s the moments you don’t expect to be more than connective tissue on a project that prove most interesting and surprising. Take the project that earned directing partners (and husband and wife) Valerie Faris and Jonathan Dayton their Emmy nomination this year, the FX limited series “Fleishman Is in Trouble.” Dayton points to a scene involving co-star Claire Danes in which her character has just engaged in primal scream therapy. “She’s just gone down this rabbit hole and she’s with this guy she’s having an affair with, and just silently eating a salad,” Dayton says. “Taking really big bites,” adds Faris. “And it’s so funny and weird and loaded,” Dayton continues. “Claire showed you can make eating a salad a layered performance. “We were just thinking, ‘Do we even need this scene?’,” Faris admits, and she...

We argue a lot but…” Notes Dayton, “The key is to love our material and love our cast, and both of those things were really true with this project.” The project of which Dayton speaks was the eight-part FX limited series “Fleishman Is in Trouble” that earned the couple 2023 directing nominations and of which they were generally on the same page.

“A lot of what we do as directors is just putting out fires,” said “Ted Lasso” director Declan Lowney. Whether those are unavoidable or self-made fires, the directors at Variety’s Creative Collaborations: Directors on Directors panel all agreed that their shows and films faced serious challenges — but that didn’t stop their projects from earning Emmy nominations.
Directors Valerie Faris and Jonathan Dayton of “Fleishman is in Trouble,” Peter Hoar of “The Last of Us,” Lowney of “Ted Lasso,” Glenn Weiss of “The Oscars” and Davis Guggenheim of “Still: A Michael J. Will may be gone, but Chicago Med's still going strong!
Fans gasped when Will resigned after sabotaging Or 2.0 and moved to Seattle, where he met Natalie and a still-adorable Owen at the airport. Nick Gehlfuss' surprise exit after eight years turned our expectations upside down; where does Med go from here?
There's still plenty of life left in Med, even without one of its leads, and we have details about Chicago Med Season 9! Be sure to bookmark this page and check back often, as we will update as we get more information.
Will is not the first original cast member to leave Chicago Med; however, he's been the heart of the series for eight years, and his absence will leave a gaping hole.
This will give some other characters a chance to shine. We might also get some new doctors into the rotation at Med. There are so many...

Sister Wives star, Meri Brown, might be feuding with Christine Brown, but it looks like Kody Brown’s former first and third wives were willing to put the drama aside for the sake of Gwendlyn Brown. Meri Brown attended Gwendlyn and Beatriz Queiroz’s wedding on July 15. Several important Brown family members are easy to spot in snapshots shared on social media. Others were noticeably absent from photos.
Meri Brown was on hand to see Gwendlyn Brown get married despite family feud
Meri might be on the outs with some of her famous family, but everyone set the drama aside to celebrate Gwendlyn and Beatriz. While Meri did not appear in a group shot shared by Mykelti Padron, she was, in fact, in attendance at Gwen and Beatriz’s wedding.

We have a love/hate relationship with cliffhangers. How about you?
It's almost become a trope that shows hit the brakes for the season in the middle of a scene, with characters in danger of death, being sent to jail, or about to accept marriage proposals.
That keeps us talking all summer long, but if the cliffhanger is strong enough, waiting for the next season to begin is torturous!
2023 brought many jaw-dropping cliffhangers. Now that the dust has settled a bit, check out our list of the most shocking ones, and let us know if we've included your favorite!
1. Chicago Med - Will Leaves The Hospital All right, so this isn't the kind of cliffhanger that makes us wonder what will happen next since Will's story is over. Still, the loss of the doctor who has been doing the wrong thing for the right reason since the series began is a big shock,...

[This story contains spoilers for “Does One Door Close and Another One Open?,” the season eight finale of Chicago Med.]
Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) has been chafing under newly profit-centered management of the Gaffney Chicago Medical Center since Jack Dayton (Sasha Roiz) took control of the hospital. The season eight finale of Chicago Med brought his frustration to a head, when Dayton insisted on going through with a surgery assisted by his Or 2.0 system, under protest by Dr. Crockett Marcel (Dominic Rains).
The routine hernia surgery goes fine — no thanks to 2.0, which shows a complication that’s not there. Halstead admits to Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) that he manipulated 2.0 to produce a bad result — and protects Dr. Song (T.V. Carpio), who hacked the system — and hands in his resignation letter. “What are we going to do without you?” Goodwin asks him.
The law of unintended consequences, however, might catch up to the rest of the staff at Med: Dayton tells Goodwin that the botched public demonstration of 2.0 has wrecked him financially,...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Chicago Med Season 8 finale “Does One Door Close and Another One Open?”] The promo for the Chicago Med Season 8 finale teased “someone will go,” but how? Does Maggie (Marlyne Barrett) take a new job after meeting with a recruiter? Does Dean (Steven Weber) die before he can get the kidney he needs, from his son Sean (Luigi Sottile)? Does someone else decide it’s time to leave the hospital, because of the recent changes or another reason? The finale foreshadows all of these possibilities. Just as Dayton (Sasha Roiz) is ready to show off what the new Or can do with his own hernia repair, Will (Nick Gehlfuss) and Grace (TV Carpio) discover the system created a lesion as a misguided attempt to help him with a patient who died. Dayton tries to brush off Marcel’s (Dominic Rains) concerns at first, then tells him he trusts him (and doesn...

Are Jack Dayton's days finally numbered?
Nobody was happy when Dayton managed to get the votes to convert Gaffney into a for-profit hospital, and everyone rebelled against the new rules.
And now, on Chicago Med Season 8 Episode 21, Marcel actively investigates whether Dayton deliberately sabotaged Or 2.0, leading to a patient's death. Dayton'll fight back, but does he have a chance of winning?
Television hospital staffs don't take kindly to corporate takeovers, especially if the new CEO interferes with patient care.
Dayton escaped the fate of other fictional CEOs for a while by staying out of the doctors' ways. People weren't always happy with him, but they tolerated him as long as he didn't interfere with patient care.

Not only did Archer pull a six-foot tapeworm out of a man, but somehow he could tell the story over lunch without anyone losing their appetite.
As a doctor, Hannah's probably seen a lot, but still. That wasn't appropriate lunch table conversation!
The tapeworm incident was only one of several odd stories on Chicago Med Season 8 Episode 20, but it left an impression!
The visuals of a tapeworm sticking its head out during surgery were shocking and dramatic. But is this how tapeworms are usually diagnosed and treated?
Maybe the budget cuts at the Ed stopped Archer from being thorough in his testing, but I'd think that if a patient came in with weight loss and stomach pain, the hospital would do blood tests and take stool samples as well as order a Ct scan.

A few weeks back, fans spotted Kody Brown walking through a Las Vegas casino. The Sister Wives star was with his wife, Robyn Brown, and an unidentified female companion. While Kody’s other companion and his reason for being in Vegas should have been the most interesting part of the sighting, something else stole the show. Kody Brown appears to have added some new jewelry to his sparse collection. The father of 18 was seen wearing a blue necklace. Sister Wives fans dubbed the jewelry piece the “Heart of the Ocean” necklace. What exactly is Kody Brown wearing around his neck?

Jack Dayton never struck me as a petty Sob, but it appears he is.
After Sharon refused to let his camera crew invade a patient's privacy on Chicago Med Season 8 Episode 17, Dayton barred the doctors from using Or 2.0 on subsidized patients.
I'm not sure how legal it is to do that, but it certainly is obnoxious.
Dayton's love of technology and the hospital's mandates have often been at odds, but not to this degree. Dayton appeared to genuinely care about patients despite his conflict of interest, but was that all an act?
And what does he mean by paying customers? Few people can pay out of pocket for procedures, and hospitals usually won't schedule them until they get pre-authorization. If Dayton plans only to offer 2.0 services to his rich friends who can afford to pay out of pocket, that will blow up badly in his face.

Kody Brown’s marriage to Robyn Brown is the only marriage of his that lasted all 17 seasons of Sister Wives. However, their relationship had red flags, as documented in the Brown family’s 2012 memoir, Becoming Sister Wives: The Story of an Unconventional Marriage. Here are the three biggest red flags in Kody and Robyn’s relationship.

In 2009, Robyn met Kody at his church, where she recalls feeling the spark like “a bolt of lightning” when she looked into his eyes. Robyn’s cousin, Reba, introduced Kody and his wife, Meri Brown, to her. Weeks later, at a church dance, Kody and Robyn danced together. Afterward, Robyn and her sister hung out with Meri and Kody and ended up talking for hours.

Sister Wives star Gwendlyn Brown reveals what happened to the family dynamic after the season 17 finale left fans on a cliffhanger. Kody and Christine Brown’s 21-year-old daughter explains what went down during Christmas 2021 after the cameras left.
Christine, Janelle, Meri, Kody, and Robyn Brown of TLC’s ‘Sister Wives’ | Discovery Press/TLC ‘Sister Wives’ ended on a cliffhanger about Christmas 2021
During the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, Janelle and Kody’s sons, Gabriel and Garrison Brown, were outspoken about their frustration with their father’s rules that went far beyond the CDC guidelines. They also openly accused Robyn of having a hand in the rules, which ultimately caused the dissolution of the family unit.
In the Sister Wives Season 17 finale, Kody felt “betrayed” that Janelle didn’t tell him their children were coming to Flagstaff, Arizona, for Christmas in 2021. Janelle disrespected Kody for not backing him up and having her sons apologize to him and Robyn.

Marcel's not comfortable with Dayton's latest PR move. Is anyone surprised?

It's been a month since we checked in with our friends at the Gaffney Medical Center, but the series is back on March 22.
Chicago Med Season 8 Episode 16 will make up for the long hiatus by getting viewers' adrenaline pumping during a high-stakes rescue story. And Cfd will assist in a semi-crossover between Med and Chicago Fire.
Before Covid, characters traveled between One Chicago shows regularly. Med's original premise was a semi-crossover -- Will was Jay Halstead's brother beginning his residency at a nearby hospital.
Times have changed. Covid made it riskier to have actors from one show visit another, Jay left Chicago Pd, and the three series became only tangentially connected. So Med staff working with Chicago Fire Department to rescue a patient is a Huge deal now.
