Seinfeld actor Michael Richards reveals in a new interview that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer six years ago and that he underwent surgery to remove it before it inevitably turned deadly.
Speaking to People ahead of the publication of his memoir Entrances and Exits, Richards said he was diagnosed with stage 1 prostate cancer in 2018 following a routine checkup.
“I thought. well, this is my time. I’m ready to go,” the actor who famously portrayed Kramer on Seinfeld said of the diagnosis. “But then my son came to mind just a few seconds later,...

Michael Richards has shared his private cancer battle.
The Seinfeld alum disclosed in his forthcoming memoir Entrances and Exits, out June 4, that he was diagnosed with stage 1 prostate cancer in the summer of 2018.
Speaking with People magazine about his diagnosis, the actor admitted he was bracing himself for death. “I thought, well, this is my time. I’m ready to go,” he said. “But then my son came to mind just a few seconds later and I heard myself saying, ‘I’ve got a 9-year-old and I’d like to be around for him. Is there any way I can get a little more life going?'”
Richards told the outlet that, to treat his prostate cancer, his doctors recommended removing his entire prostate. The procedure saved his life.

It’s been nearly 18 years since Michael Richards, best known for playing Kramer in Seinfeld, had a very controversial outburst that basically cost him his career. He has been out of the spotlight since then, but the actor has recently appeared at the premiere of his colleague’s movie Unfrosted, which was not that well received by either the critics or the audiences, but Richards came to support Jerry Seinfeld. This was a rare public appearance by the former star and, of course, the media used the opportunity to talk to the actor, especially about the 2006 incident.
The incident we are talking about, if you don’t remember, happened during a stand-up show in Los Angeles, when some Black members of the audience supposedly reacted in a way that Richards did not like. The actor then had an aggressive and highly controversial outburst, saying the following:

Michael Richards became well-known across the globe thanks to his role on Seinfeld where he played Cosmo Kramer. He also worked as a standup comedian but put a pause on that before returning to the stage later. However, things didn’t work out well for him. In 2006, he got himself into a horrible mess after he was filmed abusing his Black audience members and hurling racial slurs at them.

At a stand-up show in Los Angeles, Michael Richards was heckled by a group of Black men sitting in the audience and as a response, the comedian berated the men, which obviously did not end well for him. After the video went viral, he found himself on the receiving end of backlash which caused him to retire from stand-up comedy. Recently, the actor opened up about the incident, once again.

Michael Richards, the actor who played Kramer on Seinfeld for nearly a decade, has opened up about being diagnosed with cancer, and fearing that he was going to die. The actor, who is coming out a memoir titled Entrances and Exits this summer, writes about how he was told he had prostate cancer in the summer of 2018. He was diagnosed with Stage 1. He thought that could’ve been the end for him, he said in an interview with People magazine. “I thought, ‘Well, this is my time. I’m ready to go,'” Richards said. But then he thought about his then 9-year-old son Antonio he shares with his wife Beth Skipp. “I heard myself saying, ‘I’ve got a 9-year-old and I’d like to be around for him,'” he continued. “‘Is there any way I can get a little more life going?'” Per the recommendation of his doctor,...

Though Seinfeld star Michael Richards has spent years out of the spotlight, particularly following his racist remarks in 2006, the actor is now opening up about his life, as well as that night.
During the stand-up set at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles, Richards yelled racial insults at a group of hecklers, including using the N-word multiple times, after they interrupted his performance. Though he later apologized on the then-Late Show With David Letterman, the incident notably upended his career.
Nearly two decades later, Richards spoke with People magazine ahead of the release of his memoir, Entrances and Exits, on June 4. During the interview, he shared that he doesn’t expect people to forgive and forget that night.
“I was immediately sorry the moment I said it onstage,” he said. “I’m not looking for a comeback.”
Richards continued, “My anger was all over the place and it came through hard and fast.

Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise is getting an injection of Hollywood executive power.
The cable network said Wednesday that Bozoma Saint John, the former chief marketing officer at Netflix and Endeavor, is joining The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for its 14th season. Bravo made the announcement in social media posts.
Saint John will join returning castmembers Garcelle Beauvais, Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, Kyle Richards and Sutton Stracke in the season. Bravo also says Kathy Hilton and Jennifer Tilly will appear as “friends” of the core cast.
Saint John was the chief marketing officer at Netflix from 2020-22 and held the same post at Endeavor prior to that. Her career also includes stints at Uber, Apple — which she joined when it bought Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine’s Beats Music — and Pepsi. “Seinfeld” fans got a shock last month when Michael Richards made a public appearance at the Hollywood premiere for Jerry Seinfeld’s Netflix movie “Unfrosted.” It was one of the rare times Richards has showed up on a major red carpet in nearly 18 years, as his career more or less ended in 2006 after he was recorded hurling the N-word and other racial insults at a group of hecklers during an infamous outburst while onstage at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles.
Richards, who played Kramer on “Seinfeld” for nearly a decade and won three Emmys for his performance, is now returning to the spotlight due to the upcoming release of his memoir, “Entrances and Exits.” He recently told People magazine that “I’m not looking for a comeback” and stressed that he was “immediately sorry the moment” he said racial slurs onstage in November 2006.

Exclusive: Vue founder and CEO Tim Richards caused a stir last month with an intriguing appearance in front of the UK Parliament’s British Film & High-End TV Inquiry.
Launched by the influential Culture, Media and Sport Committee, the bipartisan inquiry has spent weeks interviewing industry figures as part of an investigation into the current state of film and TV production in the UK. Richards appeared at the session alongside Picturehouse Managing Director Clare Binns and Alex Hamilton, CEO of Studiocanal UK, who both expressed fairly downbeat conclusions about the current and future position of independent British cinema. Richards, however, was the dissenting voice.

Documentary tells the melancholy story of the model and actor at the centre of the 60s music industry but also weirdly peripheral to it
Anita Pallenberg endured many things, including the condescension of being labelled “muse” to the Rolling Stones. She became the girlfriend of Brian Jones who abused her, married Keith Richards who neglected her and then co-starred in the movie Performance with Mick Jagger, who fell unrequitedly in love with her. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14 is officially in production, and we have the first photos to prove it.
According to Queens of Bravo, the cast of Rhobh Season 14 assembled at an event hosted by Sutton Stracke.
After months of rumors about her involvement in the show, Kyle Richards is back, and we can only assume she’ll be holding her diamond for another season.
Richards fell out of favor with many fans after Rhobh Season 13 charted the breakdown of her marriage to Mauricio Umansky and the continued questions about her relationship status with Morgan Wade.
Producers allegedly gave the Halloween star an ultimatum to speak on camera about the alleged relationship, or she risked not being asked back.

Given her status as the only original cast member, the alleged ultimatum felt like a bit of a reach, but anything is possible when casting these shows.

When fans heard the news that Fantastic Four would be recreated once again to wash away the sour taste the 2015 movie left, fans were truly excited and hoping their heartiest wishes for those superheroes would finally be fulfilled. But when they heard that Pedro Pascal had been cast into the role of Reed Richards in the saga, a lot of them were unsure about this decision of the Studios.

While that was initially understandable for those who couldn’t envision the Hollywood heartthrob in the role, Pascal’s old images resurfacing are here to wash away all those doubts. In fact, one specific vintage picture of him from a few years ago is so similar to the character in the comics that it has Marvel fans convinced Pascal was born to play Mister Fantastic!

All these years later, Michael Richards is still dealing with allegedly being blacklisted by Hollywood following controversial statements made in 2006.
Richards, who most prominently played Cosmo Kramer on Seinfeld from 1989 to 1998, has lived largely outside of the Hollywood limelight since the show ended.
This largely has to do with an incident involving the comedian at the renowned comedy club The Laugh Factory in 2006.

Poliakoff’s first film starring Charles Dance is reissued, and whil the story rambles and some of the acting isn’t great, it retains a confident power to intrigue
There is great archival and historical interest to the 1987 feature film debut of writer-director Stephen Poliakoff, which now on re-release. It is a peculiar, cerebral and often strangely toothless mystery drama with some pretty wooden acting, but also some fascinating, secret London locations, used with flair. These include the Kingsway tram tunnel – gateway to a veritable catacomb of secret spaces under the city – and the gigantic Edmonton incinerator (now the Edmonton EcoPark). Hidden City offers points of interest in its drama; chiefly, the assertive and characteristically haughty performance from Charles Dance as an educational psychologist who stumbles on an occult conspiracy. Dance incidentally has the most outrageously handbags-at-dawn fight with Bill Paterson (“Mind the suit!”) – an un-macho showdown to be compared...

A muse, a mother, a fashionista, an actor, a rock ‘n’ roll icon — it’s hard to describe exactly why Anita Pallenberg remains such a compelling figure more than a half-century after the captivating blonde sang backing vocals on the Rolling Stones’ “Sympathy for the Devil” and starred in movies like “Performance” and “Barbarella.”
The new documentary “Catching Fire: The Story of Anita Pallenberg” delves into both the beautiful and tragic moments of her eventful life with the help of a treasure trove of home movies and interviews, as well as an unpublished memoir penned by Pallenberg and narrated by Scarlett Johansson. The footage is coupled with interviews of the Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards, with whom she had a significant relationship, their children Marlon and Angela Richards, director Volker Schlondorff, who cast her in some of his films, and her former friends and associates.

Taylor Sheridan’s neo-western drama Yellowstone became a resounding success not only for the sharp and potent writing by the actor-turned-director, but also for its ensemble cast led by Kevin Costner who turned in memorable performances. You can’t always get what you want, unless you are a Rolling Stones fan hungering for documentary deep-dives into the band’s storied history. Indeed, it is spectacularly serendipitous that Catching Fire: The Story of Anita Pallenberg arrives just a few months after The Stones and Brian Jones. The latter doc, from Nick Broomfield, centered on Jones, the band’s founder and leader until Mick Jagger and Keith Richards snatched that mantle. Catching Fire and The Stones and Brian Jones cover much of the same ground, use some of the same archival footage, and even feature the same anecdotes from delightful Tin Drum director Volker Schlöndorff. The films are even released by the same distributor, Magnolia.
Catching Fire and Brian Jones should, of course, be judged on their own merits, yet it’s impossible not to consider them in-tandem. The perspectives are obviously quite different, as are––to some degree––heroes and villains.

Another robbery hit The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills crew — only this time, it was Kyle Richards’ daughter, Farrah Aldjufrie.
The Buying Beverly Hills star and the eldest daughter of Richards lost nearly a million dollars worth of items.
It’s been a week since the robbery, and the Lasd Major Crimes unit is looking into it. As of now, no one has been picked up for the crime.
According to TMZ, Farrah may not have been targeted because of who she is or her family. It’s believed a South American burglary crew hit her home because of the area and its known wealth.
Farrah lost several expensive items, but some sentimental items were taken from her residence. Jewelry passed down from Mauricio Umansky’s family came up missing, and essential milestone gifts were also boosted from her home.
However, some Housewives fans and critics aren’t sure the estimate is correct.

Rhobh Season 14 could undo the wrongs of Season 13, and producers are already making the right moves
The sun has finally set on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13, and producers are working hard to right the ship to give the show a makeover for Rhobh Season 14.
The biggest flaw with Rhobh Season 13 was the lack of payoff for the season’s biggest storylines, including Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s separation.
There were also some questions about whether Richards was in a relationship with country music singer Morgan Wade.
As Monsters and Critics previously reported, producers have reportedly given Richards an ultimatum if she returns to the show: She must talk about her relationship with Wade.
If that is the case, it means producers are well aware that fans are growing tired of storylines being alluded to without any confirmation.

Over the past couple of decades, the Rolling Stones have looked for any reason to hit the road besides the release of a new album of original songs. They’ve launched tours celebrating their 50th anniversary, reissues of select archival records, the 2016 covers LP Blue & Lonesome, and their 60th anniversary. Some years they headed out on the stadium circuit for no particular reason whatsoever, knowing a Stones tour is a major event in and of itself.
But after a nearly two-year break from touring, the Stones emerged last year with the shockingly great Hackney Diamonds.

On July 5, 1989, “The Seinfeld Chronicles” premiered with a whimper on NBC. Created by Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David, it centered on the mundane life of a standup comedian and his eccentric friends. The self-proclaimed “show about nothing,” rebranded as “Seinfeld” when its remaining four first season episodes finally aired almost a year later in 1990, was championed by critics and ignored by audiences. Yet momentum continued to gain, and soon the series was dominating the ratings, collecting Emmys and entering the cultural lexicon with its popular catchphrases. Let’s take a look back at 30 of its greatest episodes, ranked worst to best.
Though Jerry was front-and-center, “Seinfeld” succeeded thanks to its supporting cast: best friend and ne’er do well George Costanza (Jason Alexander), former girlfriend Elaine Benes (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) and wacky neighbor Kramer (Michael Richards). Self-centered, back-biting and inconsiderate, these merry misfits were made for each other. The wide variety of oddball side players,...

With Annemarie Wiley and Crystal Kung Minkoff let go and Kyle Richards reportedly getting an ultimatum from producers to remain on the cast, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14 promises to be a change of pace.
With Richards and Dorit Kemsley’s involvement in the series up in the air and some familiar faces already let go, it’s hard not to wonder whether producers would be better off firing the entire cast and proceeding with a Rhony-style reboot.
Talks with cast members would need to implode for Bravo to consider such a move because Rhobh is the crown jewel in the long-in-the-tooth franchise due to its continued ratings performance.

The Running Man (1987) was one of Stephen King's earliest books. In a dystopian version of America's future, an impoverished family man named Ben Richards struggles to deal with unemployment and his daughter's mounting medical bills. In desperation, Richards signs up to be on 'The Running Man', a reality show where contestants try to evade highly trained killers. For every hour that they survive, they earn money. If they manage to live for 30 days, they win 1 billion dollars.
Richards has no hope of winning – he's just your average guy, without the physical prowess it will take to outrun and outfight his pursuers. He knows that competing on the show will kill him, but he hopes to live long enough to earn the money it will take to save his family.
Some Major Changes
Five years after the publication of The Running Man, the book was adapted for the big screen.

The Rolling Stones‘ self-titled debut album came out on April 16, 1964. Sixty years later, it’s still great rock ‘n’ roll! More than that, there’s a lot of interesting facts behind this impactful album. It also boasts one awesome collaboration.
The Rolling Stones barely wrote any of the album

Only one song from The Rolling Stones was credited to Jagger and Richards: “Tell Me (You’re Coming Back).” Most of the album is composed of covers, including songs by rock ‘n’ roll icons like Bo Diddley, Buddy Holly, and Chuck Berry, although two tracks are credited to “Nanker Phelge,” a collective pseudonym for the track.
