For the last interview in our short film series for Indie Horror Month 2013, Dread Central chatted with writer/director Erik Gardner about his latest project Blue Hole, which has found much success on the festival circuit since its premiere at the 2012 Shriekfest Film Festival last October.
Based on a true New Jersey urban legend, Blue Hole follows Michael (Drew Wick) and his intended fiancée Amy (Caitlin Rose Williams) who travel deep within the Pine Barrens of New Jersey to a vacation cabin where he plans to propose to her. Upon arriving they’re attacked by a madman who claims an eerie pond near the cabin called “Blue Hole” can bring back the dead and soon, reality mixes with illusion as the lovers are left to try to figure out if Blue Hole is real or if the madman controlling their fates is truly insane.

Dangerous Relationships
There’s not much to say here as there was really no movement in the Alejandro/Diego storyline. In fact, they didn’t have any scenes together last week other than Alejandro flashing back to the kiss that we didn’t see. But we did get to see lots of Diego kissing his girlfriend and bragging about his sexual prowess. Thanks, show! Now, obviously Diego was overcompensating because of Alejandro’s revealing the kiss to Nora, but it’s still not clear whether Diego remembers it. But what is clear is that Hector does at least suspect that Diego might be gay. His surprise and relief that his son had a girlfriend was quite telling.
Let’s hope Nora doesn’t count on Diego always being there for her…
So now I’m left to wonder where the situation with Nora finding out that...

Daytime soap opera "Days of our Lives" made TV history yesterday by airing the show's first same-sex kiss.
Thursday's episode featured Will (played by Chandler Massey) snogging a handsome stranger named Neil (Jesse Kristofferson) outside at a party, Entertainment Weekly is noting. And fortunately for us, the much-hyped moment is actually more of a steamy make-out session than just a smooch!
“After living with self-loathing and disgust over not being able to accept himself, compounded by everything else that is going on in Will’s life, he’s tightly wound,” Massey told Soap Opera Digest, according to Radar Online. "Will allows himself to do something he wouldn’t normally do in a sober situation.”
Fun gay-relevant fact: Jesse Kristofferson's famous father, Kris, co-starred with Barbra Streisand in 1976's "A Star is Born."
Check out the hot action in the clip above (kiss takes place at about...

Massey ...Kristofferson. A pairing for the ages. Or one episode.
E.J. and Misty Circle are celebrating their Mayoral win by Glitterbombing each other. They should switch to pies in the face.
E.J. brings her into the living room to find a gala feast set up with cheap candles and the creepy illuminated portrait of Stefano keeping vigil. She realizes that it's the first anniversary of their remarriage. You know what means - a virgin must be sacrificed by the next full moon or they'll revert back to their serpentine forms.
Marlena insists that if Sami really wants to deal with what's happened, she has to tell Rafe that she slept with E.J.. Sami is distraught, but frankly, I'm more concerned that Sami's Mr. T amount of jewelry is going to get caught in her cleavage crack.
Seriously, I think I just saw those routine expeditioners The Marshall Family plunge down her decolletage.

In casting news straight out of my naughtier dreams, Justin Bartha has been cast in The New Normal as Andrew Rannells partner. I have had an inexplicable crush on Bartha for years, and now he's playing a gay dad? Ovaries! Speaking of ovaries, the surrogate is Brit Georgia King, with Ellen Barkin already on board as King's racist mother.

A first gay kiss is no longer much of a milestone on broadcast TV, but for Days of our Lives it represents the latest effort to remain relevant at a time when soaps are desperately losing their luster. On Thursday’s episode of the NBC serial, Will (Chandler Massey) will lock lips with a stranger named Neil (Jesse Kristofferson) at a party.
Here’s a first look at Project Get Fans Talking:
You knew this was going to happen eventually, soap fans. Last summer, Dool began trumpeting its decision to kick off a gay storyline — though bigger moves like the...
